We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Pharmacy In-Charge to lead the operations of our hospital pharmacy. The ideal candidate will oversee inventory management, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and overall service quality to ensure safe and efficient medication distribution within the hospital.
Supervise day-to-day operations of inpatient, outpatient, and emergency pharmacy counters
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (Drug & Cosmetics Act, NABH standards, etc.)
Maintain adequate stock levels and implement robust inventory control systems
Monitor drug expiry, storage conditions, and cold chain requirements
Review prescriptions and ensure proper dispensing of medications
Liaise with doctors, nursing staff, and procurement team for timely availability of medicines
Prepare and maintain SOPs, audit reports, and quality documentation
Train and supervise pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and interns
Ensure accurate billing, batch tracking, and system entries through pharmacy software
Participate in formulary updates, drug usage analysis, and cost control initiatives
Handle TPN, chemotherapy mixing, and high-risk drug management (if applicable)
Coordinate with drug inspectors and compliance officers during audits and inspections
Strong leadership and team management skills
In-depth knowledge of pharmacology, hospital pharmacy operations, and regulatory standards
Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills
Proficient in pharmacy software, inventory tools, and hospital information systems (HIS)
Ability to manage multiple counters and ensure timely drug availability
Familiarity with documentation for NABH/JCI compliance
Customer service mindset and problem-solving ability
Qualification: B.Pharm or M.Pharm from a recognized institution
Registration: Valid registration with State Pharmacy Council (mandatory)
Experience: 8–10 years in hospital pharmacy, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
Certifications (Preferred): Courses in Hospital Management, Quality Assurance, or Clinical Pharmacy
