About the Job

We are looking for a compassionate and attentive Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support patients with their daily care needs and assist nursing staff in delivering high-quality care. This role is essential in ensuring patient comfort, dignity, and safety during their hospital stay.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with basic activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding)

  • Support patients with mobility: turning in bed, transferring, and walking with assistance

  • Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, BP, respiration) as directed

  • Change bed linens, maintain cleanliness of the patient’s environment

  • Assist in transporting patients to different departments (e.g., diagnostics, OT)

  • Help in serving meals and ensuring patients receive their diet as per instructions

  • Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nurse or supervisor

  • Support nurses during procedures by preparing and arranging supplies

  • Comply with infection control, patient safety, and hospital hygiene protocols

  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and families

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Qualification: 10th / 12th pass with Certificate in Patient Care / General Duty Assistant (GDA) / Nursing Assistant course

  • Experience: 0–1 year (Hospital internship or training acceptable)

  • Preferred: Basic life support (BLS) or CPR training
