We are seeking a curious, energetic, and deadline-driven Journalist to research, write, and report engaging news stories and feature articles. The ideal candidate will have strong storytelling skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to present information clearly and concisely for digital and/or print media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and write news articles, features, and interviews on assigned topics

• Conduct field reporting, interviews, and fact-checking

• Monitor news sources, press releases, and social media for emerging stories

• Attend press conferences, events, and briefings to gather information

• Collaborate with editors, photographers, and designers to develop compelling content

• Adhere to ethical journalism standards and editorial policies

• Submit stories within deadlines with clean, concise, and engaging copy

• Pitch original story ideas to editors based on current events and audience interest

• Contribute to multimedia formats including photo captions, video scripts, or social content (if required)

• Maintain a personal archive of published stories and contacts

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (and regional languages if required)

• Strong storytelling, editing, and interviewing skills

• Basic understanding of media law, press ethics, and fact-checking

• Adaptability to fast-paced environments and tight deadlines

• Critical thinking, curiosity, and attention to detail

• Working knowledge of digital publishing tools and content management systems (CMS)

• Familiarity with SEO, social media, and online content trends (preferred)

• Willingness to travel or work irregular hours as needed

Eligibility Criteria:

• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or related field

• Experience: 0–1 year (internship, college newspaper, blog writing, or freelance work will be considered)

• Portfolio: Submission of writing samples or published articles is highly recommended
