We are looking for a highly experienced and clinically skilled DM – Critical Care Specialist to lead and manage our multidisciplinary ICU. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in managing critically ill patients, a passion for clinical excellence, and strong leadership abilities to mentor junior staff and establish evidence-based ICU protocols.
Provide expert-level care for critically ill medical, surgical, cardiac, neuro, trauma, and post-operative patients
Lead ICU rounds, supervise treatment plans, and monitor progress in high-dependency units
Perform advanced procedures including intubation, central line insertion, mechanical ventilation, bronchoscopy, dialysis initiation, etc.
Guide resuscitation efforts, code blue responses, and emergency interventions
Review and refine ICU admission criteria, escalation pathways, and discharge protocols
Collaborate with specialists across departments for multi-organ support and continuity of care
Ensure strict adherence to infection control, antibiotic stewardship, and patient safety protocols
Manage ICU clinical workflows, staffing, and ICU documentation systems
Train and mentor residents, critical care fellows, nurses, and paramedics
Support hospital accreditation (NABH/JCI) compliance and internal audits
Participate in research, quality improvement initiatives, and critical care CMEs
Deep knowledge in intensive care medicine and multi-organ system management
Skilled in advanced life support, ventilation strategies, and ECMO (if applicable)
Proficient in the use of ICU monitoring systems, EMR, and critical care ultrasound
Strong decision-making and leadership capabilities in high-pressure situations
Excellent interpersonal, teaching, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
Committed to ethical practice, clinical quality, and continuous professional development
Qualification: DM / DNB in Critical Care Medicine from a recognized medical institution (MCI/NMC approved)
Experience: Minimum 10 years of clinical experience in Critical Care post-super specialty
Registration: Valid registration with National Medical Commission or State Medical Council
Certifications (Preferred): FCCS, ACLS, ATLS, ECMO training, or Critical Care Ultrasound Certification
Additional Preference: Experience in ICU leadership roles, clinical audits, or teaching programs
